Author Topic: Is it possible to get 24/7 Wi-fi on an iPod touch?  (Read 3603 times)

I was wondering this earlier, I have searched but found really nothing. Is it possible to do this somehow? I imagine it would cost money of course if it were. I'm asking this cause I might be getting an iPod for my bday which is this Saturday. (Finally lol out of all the things I've gotten xD) My guess is no.

yes, I remember a year ago some guy got AT&T data on his iPod touch without paying, but like a couple weeks later they sent him something in the mail saying if he continued to tap into their services without a contract they'd start billing him. you'd have to have your iPod jailbroken to do what he did

^^^^

it's basically prone to getting your ass served into a contract if you break into their network.

even so, it's not worth getting a 3G/4G iPod Touch (do they even sell those actually), because then it's basically an iPhone.

then it's basically an iPhone.
which you should get if that's what you want

Okay, well, I guess I really don't need 24/7 wifi, I guess I wanted it so I can play multiplayer games with my friends on the bus. But I think my friend has an iPhone and he can host a hotspot. My parents won't allow me to get an iPhone until I'm 16 lol.

Only got 512MB of data on my phone.

There's an age limit?

I went on a mission trip with my cousin over the weekend and 2 of the younger kids, around 10 or 11 had S3's. I just recently got my first phone which is not the greatest and I'm 15.
OT: I'm pretty sure the iPod's, at least the one I had, the fourth gen, doesn't have cellular hardware. I'm not sure about the fifth gen, but its still an iPod and the iPHONE is a thing, so....
