Why are high detailed things failbinned?

Isn't the reason we lost interior and terrain is cuz it was ugly and the shaders looked much better?

no. its because they complicated the code. shaders were added so nobody complained about there being no upside to v21.

He added some large leaves that had like 1000 quads per brick. It was then fail binned because he obviously directly converted the models from ldraw or similar without optimizing them.

they're hard to render, if not as one unit, then overtime as more are made
