Author Topic: YouTube why are you doing this to me.  (Read 2135 times)

YouTube won't let me do anything on my account unless I link it to Google+ and it wants me to use my real name.
Whyyy!

doesnt for me
just ignore the offers

It's all just an excuse to get the Internet to sacrifice its anonymity.

Do what everyone else does. Make a G+ account with your username. Nobody is checking if the G+ account details are correct.

just make up a fake name ffs is it that hard? mine is "knight fox," nobody's forcing you to use your real name
and "anonymity" wtf?? there were already usernames

Sure there are usernames, but nobody knows the real names behind those usernames.

Just look at how things have progressed. It's quite obvious what's going on.

just make up a fake name
yep pretty much

fake names are all the rage for remaining your anonymity

THEY CAN'T PROVE NUTHIN

Shiiit, Google detected my name being fake and I have to send an appeal and wait about 24 hours just to get it accepted/denied.
The name I put was Sentry Gaming which was the name of my YouTube channel.

I just put in a fake name with the last name roughly translating to ThCIAfake in French. They accepted it.

You can choose to keep your username and still have google plus.

I know this has been a thing for a while, but youtube keeps getting worse.
...despite all the negative feedback that I'm sure people haven't held back in giving.

I dumped Google half a year ago. I got my own email server, and switched to using Vimeo for hosting any videos I want to post. On top of that I use DuckDuckGo for my regular search engine, and Yahoo for image searches. In addition I use Noscript, which automatically blacklists Google brown townytics scripts and Google Ad Services.

Try and find me now, Google.
