why cant people just buy the original consoles and not adhere to the whole "le retro gamer REVOLUTION" thing?

maybe because the "original consoles" aren't sold anymore and because most aren't compatible with modern TVs unless you have a metric stuffton of adapters?

but why would you rather have those 5 or 8 consoles that don't work on modern tv's instead of a single easy-to-use console that works with all TV's, and a bunch of other good features

They do work with modern tvs, I have my N64 and SNES connected to my televison.

For your information, some old games are masterpieces compared to some (not all) of the useless first person shooters today.

neat, i imagine it'd be convenient for some

i'd prefer to use the original consoles personally. atm i wouldn't have any way to play them without using a terrible like two-inch CRT or live playback from a capture card though. the TV in my office area doesn't have composite inputs, only HDMI, VGA, etc.
