playing old videogames isn't "edgy" it's called not hating old games just because they're old

i dont hate them because they are old, i hate them because they are stuffty.

How the forget are they stuffty? Which ones? In what ways? Why are you blindly hating on these games?

there are stuffty games but most people avoid those. just because a game is on a nes or snes doesn't mean it's bad (eg. earthbound on snes)

yesyesyes, i love you. Earthbound is my all-time favorite game.

Build an arcade machine using a raspberry pi and run emulators on it. Its what Im planning to do.

For your information, some old games are masterpieces compared to some (not all) of the useless first person shooters today.
Take off your lensless glasses there, buddy. The modern video game scene may be uninspired, but the whole retro age was renowned for the heaps upon heaps of shovelware stuff that was completely terrible in every way.
Also since when was the loving GBA a "retro" console? That thing is barely over 10 years old.

Now that's bullstuff. The majority of the games weren't that bad and some turned out to be masterpieces. And some great series that still continue today started out retro, like super smash bros, final fantasy and castlevania.

Yes. Yes they were.

Yes. Yes they were.
No. No they weren't. Just avoid the bad and play the good, because when there was good, it WAS good.

Did you just seriously say that.
what do you disagree or something
it was the angry birds of the 80s

lol wtf. Especially the majority of them were stuff.

At this point the idea for bring retro games back is turning into a pretty overused concept for the gaming industry of this decade.

"Hey guys let's bring back the good 'ol days because forget progression!"

when there was good, it WAS good.
No loving stuff, that applies to anything ever. My point is you're saying how modern games are garbage while ignoring that retro games were consistently worse. And I don't mean that they were just less fun to play or more limited, I mean that there were legitimate cases where you could end up spending 70 dollars on a broken, glitchy, nonfunctional loving mess of a game.
