Author Topic: Tricking Blockland to thinking I have a supported graphics card?  (Read 989 times)

Intel has made an update that is supposed to be compatible, so is there a way to trick Blockland into letting me use high shaders?

Your integrated graphics card is still a pile of stuff, no matter if there's an update to the drivers, and won't be able to run shaders.

I am trying to prove it. Good god.

I have an intel and I just realized I can run blockland on high shaders. I didn't even do anything.

There is no tricking to be done.  Blockland asks the driver, "hey do you support these extensions?" if the driver says no, shaders are disabled.  Trying to run shaders anyway after the driver just told you that it can't would probably result in it not working.

This would lead to all sorts of bad stuff such as slow-down because your graphics card is not compatible with shaders set on high. That's why Badspot added that restriction toward the driver. If you want your computer to ultimately have a meltdown or explode right infront of your face inorder to have pretty graphics, go ahead, but he ain't paying the money to fix your computer or your face.
