It's single digit numbers times single digit numbers that I'm bad at.
lol

memorize your times table, you're really going to need it to be good at anything in life.

1x# = the same #

2x# = the number plus itself

3x3 = 9               4x4 = 16             5x5 = 25             6x6 = 36             7x7 = 49             8x8 = 64
3x4 = 12             4x5 = 20             5x6 = 30             6x7 = 42             7x8 = 54             8x9 = 72
3x5 = 15             4x6 = 24             5x7 = 35             6x8 = 48             7x9 = 61
3x6 = 18             4x7 = 28             5x8 = 40             6x9 = 54
3x7 = 21             4x8 = 32             5x9 = 45
3x8 = 24             4x9 = 36
3x9 = 27

9x9 = 81

can i ask whats so difficult about that

no need to be bad at it. every time i do a sum all i do is i use my fingers.

lol

its not just the times table its mostly everything in mathematics and you also need to be good at English

I don't know. It just is. It's difficult for me to remember my multiplication and I've said numerous times that I often miscount or mess up.

then you rely on a calculator too much

This is NOT meant to be offensive but, if you can't do single-digit multiplication, I don't recommend a normal school for you. There are some people whose brain is missing one essential part and cannot do something no matter how hard they try.

Even the mentally challenged kids I do community service for can do multiplication. If you can't do that, I do NOT recommend Algebra II, since it is hard even for normal students.

Or it could be that you just don't want to try.

Are you serious? It's not like it's that major of a thing. All I need is a damn calculator and I can do whatever they teach us. It's not like I'm incapable of learning other things just because multiplication is difficult for me.

First of all: I'm not trying to offend you at all.

Then why would you take Algebra II?
Expected answer: It's mandatory

You should really talk to someone at your school office. Like I said, it's not because you're dumb, it's because either you're not trying at all or a part of your brain is dysfunctional (not meant to be an insult). I doubt that you can do unit circles and trig graphs if you can't do simple multiplication.

However, I don't think you should've been grounded. Your father should've talked to the school about your skills.

I'm taking Algebra 2 because it's a required class, and I know you're not trying to offend me but you act as if there's something wrong with my brain, but I don't understand why... And I haven't tried learning my multiplication tables for a couple of years. Maybe I would be able to now, but when I last tried my dad would make my try to memorize for hours on end but I would always forget. We both just gave up. It's not a big deal. I've managed through math so far without issues so why would it suddenly become an issue now?

Because math gets increasingly harder and without knowing the basics you'll struggle compared to others

are you serious?  i don't want to come off as a bragging stuffbag but i knew my times tables by early 4th grade

just say them to yourself

3 6 9 12 15 18 21 24 27 30 33 36 39 42 45   its a pattern
4 8 12 16 20 24 28 32 36 40 44
5 10 15 20 25 30 35 40 45
6 12 18 24 30 36 42 48
7 14 21 28 35 42
8 16 24 32 40 48

Note that something that is easy for one person can be hard for another
funny how that works

anyhoo, sorry to hear that, sucks for you :C
I have no real suggestions for you.
However, I do think that what you have going on there is going to become more and more common until nobody can add 2 and 2.

EDIT: In my tiredness, I forgot that I wasn't posting.
Here's to 10000, you guys are awesome

if you are above the 5th grade it is really pathetic to not know basic arithmatic.

seriously, break out your textbooks once and a while. in the years ahead while you are in college, you will be thinking "stuff forget i should have been studying instead of playing blockland".
