wtf does syncing even mean? is this some kind of apple thing?

i want my devices to use drag and drop, and use any file type i feel like. the way it should be.
no fancy software getting in the way.

Syncing is copying over the computer's files and mobile device's, it's a standard thing for mobile devices (or at least was around when the iPod first came out).

Synchronization is the process of making two or more things the same. For example, when syncing with Dropbox, your local files are updated according to updated files online.

It's convenient, fully functional, easy to use, and it works like a charm. iTunes has the largest array of music you'll find on the Internet (beside YouTube).

just syncronization. why cant I just use windows media player and drag and drop and hit sync
