Author Topic: Toontown Rewritten Megathread - Open Beta Has Begun!  (Read 139205 times)

There's going to be at least one dimwit who is unaware of this and will try to reach 137 in Beta.
Why wouldn't you?

The point of beta testing is to play the game to as wide and tall an extent as you can to make sure everything in place is in working order for the next development stages. If nobody plays like they would in the release, it's much less likely problems will be found in the later-game.

I got a time for 24th at 12:00 PM PST,anyone want to join me?also bump

I really love this system they have in for public (kinda) testing.

My favorite part is how all the scheduled playtimes are taken every chance there is to get one.

or this:

EDIT: Sorry for the inaccuracy guys, its 11 minutes now!

This translates out to about 2 days, 7 hours, and 9 minutes. Wee.
You can keep complaining about the line, or stay in it because most people exit the line after seeing their times and it drops fast.

just finished my second full play session

almost got toon-up track finished, and i nearly finished the task to hold an extra task c:

I've got lv. 2 Toon-up and lv. 4 Throw/Squirt now.

I'm about done with this game until release. I am so loving sick of the constant crashing when I'm in the middle of doing things. I lose my gags every loving time I crash during battle. I'm stuck on Minnie's Melodyland, and hardly anybody is ther anymore, most of of them are in the Brrrgh or Donald's Dreamland.

can't forget about the constant freeze spikes

I got into a play session a few days ago after staying in the queue for multiple days. Here was my experience:
I went through the tutorial area fine (tutorial tom had no legs, but that's a common bug).
I got the task to go to the trolley, so I did that.
Then, when I got back to the playground, I couldn't enter the doors to the HQ. The door texture was also glitching, leading me to believe it had somehow clipped inside of the darkness behind the door. So, I restarted, as I couldn't teleport to another world or leave the area until I went to the HQ.
Once I got back ingame, I was prompted once again to enter the HQ. Upon entering the HQ, I'd have connection issues and end up disconnecting. This happened the few times I tried afterwards, so I gave the game a break for an hour.
When I came back to the game, I was able to get to the toon selection screen, but once I selected a toon, I would have a connection error. It started doing that every time. At this point, I called it quits.

There was an issue for awhile with interactive objects like doors, cogs, and other toons not spawning in properly.

An admin reset the servers, and all the problems disappeared. There are definitely some stability issues, but this is what beta is for, I guess. Just submit a bug report so they know about it.

edit: reply to my report of the same bug

Hey there, Otto Sparks!

Thanks for the bug report! We've heard of this one a bit recently, so the developers have already put it on their "Great List of Bugs to Squash". You may want to check out MMO Central Forums so you can discuss the issue with other testers and try to track down more bugs.

I know how much you guys hate tti but there soruce code got leaked and you can play the game without all that playline stuff. If you use hamachi you can have up to 5 players i think play with you.

pm me if you want the source code i guess

ill just wait for ttr since that's the one im probably going to be sticking with

Yippie, time to forget about my scheduled TTR time again!

Too bad this won't work on macs, or at least with the supplied files.
