About a week ago, I got a new puppy that was 7 weeks old. Now he is 8 weeks old and likes to bite. He has bit me countless times and no one else in the family. 2 days before he was pretty much liking me the most. Just today I have yelled at him a countless number of times for biting me. Help? He is a Jack Russel Terrier.

If you just acknowledge it but don't do anything about it, he'll start thinking you like it.

This is how we trained my dog:

Leave his leash on while he's in the house 24/7
When he bites you immediately grab his leash and step on the part close to the collar, forcing him to lay down
Accompany this with a keyphrase like "no bite"
Keep him there for 30 seconds or 10 seconds after he calms down, whichever is longer
After releasing him, pet him and say "good boy"

If he tries to bite your foot, you can hold his muzzle until he stops. If you can't grab his muzzle your foot isn't close enough to the collar

We don't have a leash or anything that goes around his neck, mostly because he's too small.

We can't train him, seeing as he's too young, and we constantly say firmly "NO." at him while pointing our finger in front of his nose / eyes.

unfortunately dogs dont understand the English language, yelling at him is not going to do anything, no matter how menacing you try to be.

The way my family trains our dogs (we've had about 5 large dogs), is whenever they bite, either close their muzzle or push down gently on their tongue inside their muzzle, they really dont like it, and thats what you need to get across, that you arent playing anymore

Punish him whenever he does it, obviously. Spray him with water or something, or do something else dogs don't like.

We don't really wanna spray him with water mostly because he's just a puppy, and we don't usually spray our dogs. Also we don't have a bottle of water.

He is teething, and since he's a puppy he is growing and still growing mentally and physically. Jack Russels are very energetic dogs and need a bunch of exercise and playfulness by their owners.
