i need help with my headphones

this is an issue that has happened once before but now it's happening again

basically when i plug my headphones in it just makes them come out of the speakers but really muffled and weird with nothing coming out of the headphones

anybody know what to do?

its coming from the laptop

besides it wouldnt help the fact that sound isnt coming out of the headphones

Yeah I had this problem too. Windows 7/8
You need to install your audio drivers. It's probably Realtek High Definition Audio.

Also what ports are your USB? 3.0? or 2.0? (3.0 are the blue ones)

they were working fine the other day, and im not sure why it would make the sound coming out of the computer muffled

when my speakers and headphones are plugged in only one will play audio, unless i unplug one or the other. try disabling them

Install your audio drivers. Probably Realtek HD Audio drivers.
Install your usb drivers, if they are 3.0. Probably Fresco Logic drivers.

It's possible they bugged out, my usb 3.0 ports drivers broke out of nowhere one day.
