Author Topic: I went to the beach for the first time in my life today.  (Read 2478 times)

I've been to several beaches when I was little but I remember none of them. Recently we went to a beach in Northern California, it was so fun walking on the warm sand

Also walking in a low stream is another experience you should try. We went to this crystal clear stream that was maybe 5ft at its deepest and instead of mud at the bottom it had really smooth, rounded rocks to walk on.

I enjoy walking my dog down the beach, however the sand does get kind of annoying.

I have a phobia of the ocean  :panda:

Beach isn't so fun if you live in Texas.

Half-eaten crabs, backpacks full of mysterious apparatus, and gasoline.

I live on Long Island, so Ive been surrounded by water my whole life. Heh... get it? But yeah, I used to go to the beach a bunch, but then I nearly drowned at Jones Beach (My Grandma saved me, not the life guards) when was 4. Im more of a Bay and LI Sound guy now.

Oh cool I was at Long Beach. My parents also own a summer home in Montauk but I'm not allowed to go on the beach because the rip currents are too frequent.

I was scared to walk barefoot in the sand mainly because I thought it was dirty.
I thought this too, but once I went to walk on the sand and it completely rid one of my feet from verruca's so its actually not that bad for you.

I live in Maryland and don't even go the bay that often.
Haven't been to the shore in a while;
but I do go to Cunningham falls around every year.

i live in Delaware and near the beach
its nice

Your name explains it all...

Its beautiful out there. Ive only been to Montauk once. However, just go in up to your ankles/ knees! Also if you DO get caught in a rip current, swim with it, and slowly edge towards the shore. Dont tire yourself out fighting it.
