Haha, it's pretty fun here.

Just walk down the Times Square and you will see PLENTY of things to do.

oh by the way everyone including myself are jokingly exaggerating the crime
manhattan is really safe, without a doubt one of the safest urban areas in the world
and although some places in queens and brooklyn look ghetto, most of them are still pretty crime-free.

but then again i don't think you mentioned going to any other borough than manhattan, lol

Except the Filipino neighborhoods. They'll shank you for half a buck. :cookieMonster:

Anyways Queens has a really good Filipino restaurant called Ihawan. Too bad nearly everything has meat.

No kidding, the majority of older elementary school teachers in my area are Jewish.

Most educators and teachers in NYC are Jewish but nobody ever says this; they all live in Westcheser or on Long Island. lol

I've lived in Manhattan for almost all of my life, and you have got to see how menacing people can be. A lot of crimes happen in my area but they happen as soon as it gets dark. I live in an area which isn't exactly residential. It's busy and caters to commerce and finance.

It's the wild animals who come from the Bronx and Brooklyn who try to hold things up here. A lot of these crimes happen on the subway too.

:(

Earl of Sandwich (I think its in Midtown), Central Park, Top of the Empire State Building, Boat ride around Ellis Island, Time Square, Broadway, Rockefeller Plaza, and just walk around (Enjoy the wonderful attitude of Native New York Pedestrians and Drivers!)

'Nuff said from a Native New Yorker! Suburbs kid :'C

If you guys leave the city as a whole, it might be worth going to Nassau County which borders Queens to the east. You will have the best pizza here and it's a nice middle class area in general, except for Elmont.
He speaks the truth. I live in Nassau County, and its awesome. If you somehow find yourself in Suffolk, STAY OUT OF WYANDANCH (Hue hue).

Go to All American Burger, too.
Sorry for Double Post Toast.

I think LI is all right, but it is too isolated and remote. I like several parts though but I prefer Westchester. Suffolk has many pretty towns though.

Out East on Long Island... North Fork=Farmland that is so nice, South fork= A lot of nice rich houses. Go to Montauk Lighthouse xD. Also the suburbs of Long Island are not isolated and remote at all. Gosh I never realized how much I love the island. Also be weary of the Longgisland accent. Prepare yourself.

Suffolk used to have many Native's in towns like Quaghoe and the Hamptons before it started being bought up and before the reservations were removed. Long Island also has many car crashes, bad ones too. LI accents are like Boston accents.

Nassau County is mostly suburban. I haven't really been out to Suffolk that much but it's way more urbanized than that.

LI accents kind of sound like really white brooklyn accents, kind of wiggerish. I don't have one but sometimes I pronounce things Brooklyn-style which I try to avoid because it's generally annoying.
It varies a lot but they seem to be generally of the Brooklynese type, not to mention that I feel like a lot of people try to exaggerate theirs.

get raped in an alley way
god damnit i laughed
