Are the percussion sections at other schools the "We don't care, tough guys" group?

Cause they're like that here.
I play Percussion an I have to agree with that. We were that kind of a group until this year, when our band director changed. Our previous band director didn't give a stuff about the Percussion section, so he didn't care if we slept, play on our phone, etc. Our current director is vice versa- in fact, he picks on the Percussion section.

Don't really know which is better.

woah; ok.

Don't even go there. Saxophones in (modern) classical music are badass. The saxophone, remember, was made to create an instrument that was half brass and half clarinet. It has a pretty, unique sound that can be awesome in certain orchestras. I just... *swoon*

People often forget about the beauty of the saxophone and assume it's only used in jazz.

ok what the forget that was weird semicolon use
The saxophone was made to reinforce the woodwind section. A soprano sax can reinforce flute and clarinet parts.

Saxophones can create an aggressive or innocent tone in an orchestra.

i play the vagina

ho ho ha ha teehee diddly dum

Alto saxophone.
alto sax, soprano sax, bari sax, guitar, bass, bassoon, a little Annoying Orangeet
Bari sax requires a lot of air.

Hey guys, if anyone here has really good recording mics, and if you wanna form a group, I will be willing to write for that group.  Three instruments minimum unless there is a polyphonic instrument present.  (Pm me if interested)

As for me, Saxophones.

Do instruments of torture count?

I realized I also play bass, along with my guitar.

sadly i dont know how to play anything. i have tried to learn to play the piano but it didnt work out, and i almost rented a sax but i decided not to. my dad owns a few guitars but im not all that interested in them.

drums, guitar, and I sing if you wanna count that.

I've been playing piano for 7 years now. If you want to play a fun instrument play the piano.
I fiddled around on the piano when I was around 5 years old to 8 before I actually had legitimate lessons of course. The grand piano I own is actually pretty special. My great great grandmother played it in the pits of many silent films. I also have an electric upright piano. I like it because of the headphones mostly.

I've also played the ukelele for about a year now. In all seriousness if you want to play an easy instrument that won't take a while to actually play. I would suggest try out the ukelele, also if you have small hands that isn't a problem. You can just buy a 4 stringed ukelele, but that does shorten the amount of chords, and possible songs.

OP should make the poll multiple choice, I play Guitar and Ukulele

Do instruments of torture count?

As long as you can make music out of their screams and pleas for mercy.

I bang on things with sticks.
