Author Topic: Oh cool, Blockland purchasing scams. (I think?)  (Read 3534 times)

This window just randomly popped up prompting me to buy Blockland, is this a scam or that site that bought out 2K IDs?

It keeps popping up for me to.

y'all got adware

no

i literally just installed nightly, there are no extensions except for ABP

that site that bought out 2K IDs?
Nope. That link is safely guarded to prevent a depletion of 2k IDs. The actual site that sold them went down, but luckily we still have the link to the purchase page which was hosted on a commerce website.

nothing besides this...

turns out mycommerce.com is just some shopping site. You clicked a link somewhere, Blockland ended up in your cart?

I was more referring to how you had Adblock and how there was still an advertisement.

Adblock doesn't block every ad on every web page in existence. That ad is just not formatted the same way as most ads are, so it was overlooked as legitimate content.

oh, well i don't know about that

Is that like a threat? So if you don't buy it they will purposely give you a virus or something?
