thats the trick. obama and his supporting democrats want you to feel as if compromise SHOULD be done. otherwise those not supporting it in the house are evil or something. thats a great way to force anything you want to pass. just make the americans angry and have them demand that results are made fast. even if they arent necessarily good results.

Thanks for realizing that "compromise" is just a pile of horse stuff and a misappropriation of priorities.

You sound like one of those people who wants 'compromise' no matter how stuffty it is.
You sound like one of those people that make handicapped assumptions about a single comment someone makes instead of noting their argument as a whole. It's abundantly clear I don't support Obamacare nor its funding in any way.

So therefore people may cause a forgetstorm because of them not liking the law.

Holding the budget ransom is a very dishonorable thing. What are congressional democrats supposed to do?

I shoot that question right back at you: what are the congressional republicans supposed to do?

They both have the same move to make: concession.

If you think both are to blame and that's the end of the discussion, then we're not asking the right question. I think it's pretty clear that some players aren't playing by the rules.

It's not written anywhere in the rulebook that you can't refuse to sign a bill for as long as you like. Everybody is playing 'by the rules.'

Also, the question I'm referring to is "which party is responsible for the government shutdown." That's the question we've been discussing for the past 19 pages, so if you suddenly changed it without telling me then please update me so I can update my answer.

Why should Republicans be forced to fund a bill they don't support? It just seems silly. Sure you can blame them for not just dealing with it, but can't you say the same for the Democrats? IIRC six different bills were sent, all of which the democrats rejected.

Why don't we stop blaming the Republicans 100% for a minute and ask- why couldn't the Democrats deal with Obamacare not being funded later and just let that slide for now? I doubt it was worth a government shutdown

And btw, this is just my understanding of the situation. These questions aren't rhetorical, I don't know that much about it so I'm honestly asking why

Because the democrats want the act they support to be funded. It's literally a reciprocal situation. The Democrats will not pass anything that doesn't fund Obamacare, and the Republicans will not send any bills that do fund Obamacare. Either the Republicans have to send up a bill funding Obamacare, or the Democrats will have to accept a bill that doesn't fund it. Both aren't likely. My guess is that Republicans will end up sending up a bill that funds Obamacare.

You linked to a propaganda site in support of Obamacare. Maybe you're the one that's not thinking, biased information is absolutely mute in debates.

oops that was an accident
