I don't think this is possible in Milkshape unless you hide the group inside the model.

That one revolver made by that guy (ambiguous/10) that's on RTB hides the rounds when the revolver is reloading. (well i think so at least)
I want to avoid using that alternative you suggested at all costs.

You're gonna have to use Blender if you want to utilize this animation you have in mind.
Milkshape is a dead program. I only use it because I fell in love with it at a young age, and she has my baby.
