bisjac is the hero we need, but not the hero we deserve

You know I like this guy, always telling it like it is. Betcha if it was anyone else who said this they would get bombarded up the starfish with complaints.

Preach it!
Amen bretheren!

He's usually straightforward but i can't say I agree with all his points. Some of them I do though.

okay seriously
this is sad and all
but killing yourself over bullies or whatever is dumb

people who go through life not attempting ANYTHING to solve their problems. pretty much deserve to die.
im not even slightly ashamed to say that.
sorry but different people are different, just because you would have the nuts to say something or stand up for yourself doesn't mean everyone would. i know i certainly wouldn't because i'm just not that kind of person - people wouldn't take me seriously if i threatened to retaliate against them, not even cause of my physicality but just because of my personality - but does that mean i deserve to die? no. so while i recognize this is your opinion, i'm gonna have to disagree on that one.

that being said i wouldn't kill myself because idgaf what people think of me but still. try to be at least a little bit sensitive.

Cops and Soldiers kill themselves all the time, but do we go after the government for their bad expirences? Nope.

I don't want to be an starfish and I do feel bad for the person, but they were taught as a little kid that when life pushes you down, it's OK to stay down. Well it's not.
Yeah, um, no?
Everyone is taught to stand up for themselves. You probably don't have the experience but as a person that was bullied it's much harder to stand up for yourself than you think. You forget up once, and you're an outcast for years. Not talking from personal experience, but I have seen this happen to other people.

Yeah, um, no?

I have the experience
it's not hard to ignore it

p.s. yeah, um, yes. "sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me"

To be honest, I feel like this is a somewhat necessary thinning of the herd. Like sure, bulling in general is a bad thing, but if you can't stand social and societal pressures to the point where you're willing to off yourself, how are you going to operate when there's a lot more at stake than your ego? People are going to treat you like you're worthless your whole life, and unless you can rise up and show them they're wrong, you're going to be kept down.

i'd like to ask everyone if they have been bullied before

Once this kid in 6th grade tried to bully me for some reason. I spread a rumor about him and he actually got suspended for it, it was great.

so you decided you use revenge instead of being the better man and walking away?

what was the rumor
how bad was the bullying

You always have to show that you're better than everyone else. It wasn't revenge really, it was just me showing that I had more social influence than him and that he couldn't touch me.

Not bad at all. He called me "Billoy" instead of "Billy" and acted like a jackass, once he tackled me in flag football intentionally but that's the closest to physical it got.
