EDIT: Okay, this is good, this is very good.
We know that either 2 or 3 is in the correct place, and since both results were the same but the last 3 digits were all different, that means the other of the two don't even exist in the code at all. We can kill two digits with one guess here.
uh no it doesn't mean that
a 0 or that 1 could be in the right place, because we removed the 4s and that second 3.

though prove me wrong, i don't see much coming out of this. ill just spectate this for a few guesses.

I was going to say this:

Quote
2 and 3 are most definitely present, which logically means that 0, 1, and now 4 not part of the code. Again, we now have to focus on the other side of the spectrum.

014 and any two numbers (above 4) sounds like a good start to me, as we can easily weed them out.

But after reading what FancyPants said and TL's edit, I'm not too sure. Just remember that placement doesn't matter until we established our 4 numbers and the duplicate.

The only two digits the last 2 guesses shared in common is the first two; 2 and 3. Since both had an X, that means that one of the two digits is in the correct spot, or there's a tiny chance that we got 2 digits right over the last two guesses in the last 3 digits. That's literally a one in a hundred chance, not likely.
