I worked in the auto industry and dealt with GM, Ford, and Chrysler among others. Unless you're driving a classic car I guarantee you your favorite cars all have extensive design contributions from Chinese and Indian engineers.

And by saying Corvette and Viper, I think you also neglected to mention other recent supercars like the Saleen S7, Ford GT, and SSC Ultimate Aero. Pretty sure Saleen and SSC also have new cars in planning. America is not a deadzone.
