So I spent a good chunk of today re-mounting my car's aftermarket speakers because Metra provided the wrong screws. I installed the speakers back in january, and the right one fell out a few months ago, and I didn't even notice until last week. I decided to check under the door plastic, and a screw fell out as I separated the bottom of the door panel. I completely took off the panel and found the speaker barely hanging by a
single screw. I borrowed my mom's 2009 camry le (Boring-ass car, even compared to my yaris) and headed to the local hardware store to get some longer screws and some
nuts to help secure it. I then came back home, went out to my car, and worked on re-mounting the speaker with the new screws... in 98 degree tennessee heat. Then the screws I used were too long, so I had to mount the bracket in a funny way back onto the door to where only 2 screws were holding it in. The speaker wasn't moving around at all when I tried to shake it, so I put the panel back on the door. When I checked the driver's side door, the speaker was still in, but I put in the new screws anyways just to make sure. I've never sweat so much in my life. forget you, Metra, is it that hard to provide the right loving screws?
