When my parents get tailgated (and drivers here are animals), we just put on our turnlight when the coast is clear and we brake as soon as they've passed the yellow line so they can kill themselves without taking us with them. Taxi and bus drivers are the worst.

That's actually a really courteous thing to do. If someone did that for me I'd feel bad that I couldn't thank them. I don't generally pass illegally outside of mountain passes though.

I always feel bad when I can't thank people for doing nice things. like, normally, when I'm taking my sister to school, there's this road we gotta get on from the main road, but there are always a lotta people coming from the opposite direction and it takes forever to get through (in fact, there's often a cop there to stop traffic every once in a while to let people turn)
but this morning there was one guy who, for some reason, let in like three people, and I wanted to thank him, but it was too dark for him to even see the little hand wave :c

The hand wave is a godsend.

Today I got stuck at a broken light trying to turn left. The light was stuck with a green light + a green turn signal from my right, so traffic was stopped 3 out of the 4 ways you can go. It was early in the morning so there weren't many people on the road, but before I'd realized the light was broken a few cars had built up on my left trying to go straight. After two minutes of waiting or so, I lowered my window and waved them all through the light so they knew I wouldn't go and that it was safe to go forward. Every one of them waved back in thanks, then I took my left turn when there was no traffic.

On topic of tailgaters, I generally can be an starfish to them, ESPECIALLY to high school student drivers that tailgate me.  What I tend to do is, wait till the last 25-50 feet before my turn, turn the signal on while slowing to 10 or so under the speed limit in a 40 zone, then slam the brakes from 30 to 0 then wait a second or two, then turn.

This works very well at least for me, I never see a repeat of the same cars tailgate me ever again, I have gotten a SUV full of girls to scream bloody loving murder cause they were riding my ass so I did this game and sure enough it worked wonders.  Another story, this may be TL;DR, no idea, but I was driving home from somewhere when a honda civic from my high school pulled onto the road and started tailgating me.  This is on a 4 lane road so she could have passed easy.  I decided, since we were the only cars on the road at the time, I wasn't going to take the bullstuff tailgating, slows down from the speed limit of 45 to 20 gradually, shes getting pissed yelling at her friend in the car.  She then gets over starts to pass, I floor it up to 60 pace her, she slows down gets back over, I slow back down to 30, now she is SUPER loving pissed, ends up turning into a neighborhood after being toyed with too much.  The next day around the same time, same person, same road and all, she held back at least 100 feet or more from me, best feeling ever.

TL;DR  I pissed off some high school bitch and the next day she got behind me and didn't even bother getting near me after the day previous.

In other news after that huge story, I washed my car, dried with microfiber cloths then rainx'd the windows

That is EXTREMELY dangerous. Please never do this ever again.

That is EXTREMELY dangerous.
Not if you have a Fiat 600 with iron bumpers! >:D

I know it is, but, I enjoy scaring the stuff out of people if they REALLY deserve it, and if they hit me, in Minnesota, they would automatically be at fault for rear ending me regardless of the scenario because they didn't leave enough stopping distance between myself and them.

Seriously dude don't do this again please

They'd be at fault for the accident, but you'd be morally at fault for any and all injuries associated with an accident with a 30mph speed differential. That'd easily kill a small child who might not be secured properly.

uh, no, that would be more dangerous. there just wouldn't be as much damage to your car

none of that matters if they just drive away
and nobody deserves it?? you can just get in another lane as easily as they can

Hit & run, take down the plates, simple as that.

like you're actually going to be thinking straight after you just caused an accident

I don't know about other people, but if I was performing a hit and run I wouldn't allow them to see my plates long enough to write it down. Plus, having a car slam into you and all your airbags deploy would stun you for long enough that you'd be unlikely to have the mental clarity to memorize the plate and write it down when you get a chance. If you're even still conscious.
