sleeper car, like those 4 door cars with those huge v8's which can crank out a forgetton of power when tuned right
a sleeper is just a car that looks normal but is actually very powerful. you can put all sorts of stuff on any car but if you want a v8 with tons of power, it's going to cost you

Get a early panther platform car like a 92' crown vic

hi

what are some really good sleeper cars that are usually sold on craigslist for like 2k or less?

GET THIS, its one of my all time dream cars, looks like a mustang, drives not so much like one, but you could drop in whatever engine you wanted, and hey its rwd so you could practice your xr7 skills

1984 celica gt coupe 5 speed, 2500$

it also shares an engine with the "indestructible" Toyota truck they showed on top gear, the 22re is a seriously reliable engine

edit: I implore you, learn manual if you don't already know how, it took me 3 days to do, and once you learn it, you can drive any manual car, and like riding a bike, Its something that will never do you harm to know, might come in handy somewhere else some day, and something you'll never forget

It's also way funner.

Manual for life, it offers so much more control of the car, while automatic does most of the job for you which is boring.

I'd learn how to drive manual if I didn't live in the 4th largest city in the United States. Also if I had someone to teach me how. Yeah, that would be nice.

thank god i dont live in a big city because i would probably throw myself of a loving cliff if i did. i live right outside of phoenix (the 5th largest city in the us) and if i ever have to drive through during any time that isnt the middle of the night or around noon it's hell. stop and go traffic in my tiny ass manual car with ac that only works if youre going fast. if i had a nickel for every time i ground the gears or stalled in that bullstuff traffic id be rich

6th gen grand prix gtp is extremely cheap to mod for performance

an older wrx is pretty cheap as well

really anything that is either
1. already using forced induction, or
2. as mentioned, has a big v8 in it. those usually just need exhaust mods to awaken their power
