The thing about consoles is how their games are tailored to run perfectly on that console, unlike PCs which have a wide variety of hardware and sometimes perform badly on cheaper PCs. Consoles also have very light operating systems and very few backround processes to worry about while gaming. This, and the fact that consoles have lots of good co-op games to play on the couch with friends + some console exclusives.
