is anyone else totally mystified by the cartoon "adventure time"?

apparently it has a similar following to that of my little pony. so, today i decided to get a hold of a couple of episodes to see what its about and why people like it so much (which was quite hard, seeing that in my country its nowhere on TV)

i was told that the popular age range of the show is from 9-16 in the US, but to me it seems like it could go for 5-10 year olds. the comedy is completely horrendous, mostly just slapstick humor.

i dont get it
are only some episodes good or something

The first few seasons only introduce characters and develop them for a bit, however quality wise the show gets better over time. I don't watch tv, but I do hear it when my brothers are around. Also TV rots your brain.

i wasnt deliberately ripping on the show, if thats what your thinking.

also, you talk about opinions, yet you tell me to simply accept that everyone thinks something different and to not even speak of my opinion. if everyone did that in the world, it would be a pretty stuff place.

I like adventure time a lot. Digging into it's back story it's super dark. In later episodes they start explaining characters and the past and I think that's the best.

I love the episodes that have music in them, the songs are usually pretty simple and cute.
