Author Topic: I just witnessed my grandmother have an asthma attack  (Read 2115 times)

So i'm about to do something out in the kitchen and both of my parents are in the room next to it, i asked whats going on and my dad tells me to "Go back to my room", i see my grandmother opening her mouth like crazy trying to breathe and for a few minutes i thought she was having a heart attack

my father tells me a few minutes later that my grandmother is having an asthma attack, the ambulance should be here in a few minutes though.

Pretty much i'm scared stuffless at what i just witnessed

i am sorry this unfortunate event has taken place.

did it take your breath away

get out

its an unfortunate thing that his grandmother is having an asthma attack, but atleast redgajin tried to make the mood lighter. christ.

Hopefully she will be ok.

I just found out that she might have had a asthma attack then a panic attack

they also took her to the hospital, don't know when she will be back

they also said her oxygen levels are normal but her blood pressure was high

Is this like, life-threatening?
From what I've heard athsma attacks really aren't that big of a deal, but what do I know. Maybe when you're older they're more dangerous or something

yes you can die from lack of oxygen. it isnt much of a problem if you get help quick. but, if your an elder, the risk is certainly higher

I knew that, but I didn't think athsma attacks can just completely cut off respiration.
I'm not trying to be a richard here, it probably is super scary, but I'm just wondering if it's serious or not.
