Is Internet required to install Sims 3 all of a sudden?

I bought my copy 3 months ago, and installed it 3 months ago. I tried to install it in my desktop (no internet), and it's telling me I need to install Origin, I did and then it asked me to log in, I can't do that since I don't have internet. I looked on the slip with your code on it and it clearly says I can install it without internet if you have the disk. Am I doing something wrong here?

I even tried copying all the files that were created after installing to my desktop and that didn't work, it says I need to reinstall base game or something.

When I enter the disk in, it automatically runs the installer. There are two options "Install" or "Help". Install tells you to install origin. Help just says what it says on the manual.

every EA game within the last few years requires an internet connection to install.  should've read the fine print on the box.

get the install file for Origin on a flash drive

and then install it on the other computer

LOGIC. Like I said it clearly states you can install without internet, then have an option to install Origin.

Origin was packaged with the disk. I can't log in is what I'm trying to say.
