After I finished a large build of mine, I decided that I should start working on a big server; however, I am still debating as to which idea sounds better. The first of the two ideas is a revival of an older project. Over the summer, I hosted a Hunger Games server, unique for its large diversity of maps and customizable players; however, especially since people stopped coming to my server, and with strong competition from Zalot (who, I must mention, does have a nice server), I stopped hosting. Looking back, I realize that some parts of the build were just sub-par (the Cornucopia is so crappy I tried to avoid taking pictures of it), so I want to share pictures of the original build to know if the build is worth reviving. I admit I kind of went stingy with the pictures, so if you are all interested, I might rehost the server so everyone can get a taste of what it was like. I think you could probably tell from the pictures and captions that I'm not absolutely in love with the old build, and kind of want to rebuild it in the future.

Aries DesertThis map was the original, and honestly one of the best. It is full of secret tunnels, it has a nice diversity of weapons, and just felt fun to play in.
Cancer ValleyThe second map, this one is a little bit smaller than the others; however, that makes it one of the more interesting maps. You can actually break the ice above the two lakes (the picture shows the smaller of the two) and hide under the maps. I recall a player stalling through a round (which is against the rules if you do it to hide from the final player, mind you), and then during the end, emerged and won the game! Sure, it's not honest, but at least players are actually
using the secret areas.
Capricorn SwampThe third map made, I remember, was a bit controversial. If you don't know about the Cornucopia backpack (yes, that's a cornucopia, and those 2x4s are backpacks.), almost every backpack in there is a melee weapon. I decided that because a lot of people like to use bows to fight, having a map that challenges players to use other skills to fight was a good idea. The water in this map slowly hurts you, so not only are you tested in your sword fighting abilities, you also have to be able to tactically jump from island from island. This didn't receive well with players, unfortunately. At least it's my favorite map and the most aesthetically pleasing, in my opinion.
Libra ParadiseI'm ashamed I made this map; hence the stuffty picture barely showing any detail. The intention to give the map a surreal feeling, but it just didn't look well. From a gameplay perspective, the weapons are supposed to be "perfectly balanced," because it's the Libra themed map. I did this because one person was complaining that the weapons are varied in strength! Normally, in a deathmatch, that
would be criminal, but in the Hunger Games, the one of the challenges of the game should be to find a good set of weapons in the Cornucopia before you get murdered by someone else. It just seems like the Hunger Games are an exception to many deathmatch traditions.
Leo VolcanoA lot of work went into just the volcano, and I guess it came it OK. There is also a tunnel system that's more complex than the desert's. There is also a low diversity of weapons, which can be good in some instances.
Scorpio RapidsAaaand this is when I realized that my maps weren't that great. This map feels exactly like Libra Paradise, but more spacious and filled with water. Some people do like it, but eugh... At least the rapids make a fun hazard around the map.
If you guys are interested in this gamemode, I will host a server, and possibly remake it so that it is actually decent looking. I would like a team of people, especially because I suck at making trees, and could use some help wit that. Also, the current project is only half-finished, so pointers on it would be great. I, however, do not mind killing it off if you guys see little potential.
On the other hand, I considered starting a medieval roleplay. The gamemode generally has a bad connotation, so I hoped to change that. I really enjoy creating interesting worlds, and I've seen few RPs that have done that successfully. If this option wins the poll, I'll make a separate OP in a few months that lists the information in detail, and also get more people to help me with building.
