Shortly after the events of Ocarina of Time, a great war sprung forth between the 6 races of Hyrule. Not wanting to see the consequences of the war, Link fled Hyrule and traveled to Termina, where he... oh, well, that's a different story. The 6 races fought over Hyrule Field and the Triforce, which was now up for grabs after being saved by Link. We still have yet to see the end of this war...
RacesHylians - Very similar to humans, they have pointed ears and have the most refined swords and such. They used to be the dominant race of the land, but that may change. Their HQ is Hyrule Castle, in the north.
Gorons - Large brown creatures with rock-like shells. They can roll up like a boulder and do a dashing attack. Superior strength, but frankly they're quite stupid. Their HQ is Death Mountain, in the northeast.
Sheikah - Also similar to humans, but taller than Hylians. While their strength is less than Hylians', they are very practiced in magic and stealth. Their HQ is Kakariko Village, by Death Mountain.
Zoras - White and blue fish-like creatures. Pretty well-rounded, although their mobility is much better in water than land. Their HQ is the Zora's Domain in the east.
Kokiri - Small human-like race that stay children forever. Faster than other races, and very good with a bow. Their HQ is the Kokiri Forest in the southeast.
Gerudos - Strange tan humanoids that are almost always women. Not much is known about them, but they seem to be fairly good with magic, while also being swift. Their HQ is the Gerudo Fortress in the northwest.
