Author Topic: New Server List  (Read 2890 times)

I decided to replace the server list in the Impact style, and it looks great in my opinion.

It requires at least a resolution of 1024x768 to fit everything, so your 2004 laptop won't work!

Should I package/release this? What do you guys think?

Where's the filter button?

Also the words at the top are very off center

but otherwise i like how it looks like the default gui

The captions aren't above their columns
No filters
No search

I really think it looks great :)
Love it you should release it!

Before this post is true, the obvious issues need to be fixed:
The captions aren't above their columns
No filters
No search

They're not exactly above their columns, that's not acceptable

Also what happens if you scale it (1080p vs 480p)

There positions are relative, and the list is always the same.. not sure how to do it really.

meh looks kindof ew, never really was a fan of the new blockland style

By not depending on default code for loading the list that you can't modify, by not using a guitextlistxtrl, and by creating your own list from swatches and texts and buttons... aleast that's how I did it

lol... I just stuffed them into a separate control which positions relatively. It works perfectly now, I can just scale it down a bit to fit it exactly.

You can easily modify the column sizes in the list.

This needs some polish. Rather than having two large swatches, it might be better if you design it more like the Start Game GUI, where clicking on a server displays more info about it.

I already did this a long time ago
You can get it here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/c3yiyr4n8a5p45k/Client_ZGUI.zip
Note: I'm not sure how much of it still works, but it should work fine
When you click on a server it loads more info and a large preview picture

Okay, I updated the image in the OP.
