Author Topic: Players Are Mysteriously Flung into the Air after Going to the Center of a Map.  (Read 957 times)

This has been a pervasive issue in my Hunger Games server. When the selected map is "Cancer Valley," and players approach the Cornucopia (central area) of the map, there is a chance that they will be sprung into the air by a mysterious force. It does not happen every time, but it tends to happen when the server has been running for a while, and once the issue starts, it does not stop until I rehost the server. This occurs in no other location, just in that one map. I'm not sure if it's caused by add-ons, so I will not present a list; however, I will note that I require both Zone Events and Slayer at the bare minimum, and that I have checked each zone in that map to see if events are causing the problem. If this is not a typical issue, I will share both a list of the add-ons I normally enable and the .bls of the map, or host a server so someone can investigate the problem.

is there any events that changes velocity

is there any events that changes velocity

As far as I am aware, no.

The only brick that could affect it with events is the zone brick above the cornucopia, which I have checked several times. Also, if it were events, it would always occur, while this problem happens on occasion.

Invisible aliens abducting your players

OT: see which área it occurs and check if theres any event there.

I already did. It is most definitely not events.

Open the save file in notepad and search (Ctrl + F) for "velocity".

Might be a backdoor. Did you ever download anything off of sites that aren't rtb or these forums?

While this was a good idea, I have found nothing useful. I do use velocity in one area to simulate slipperiness from ice, but I only found the events that pertain to that area.

Nope, I only have downloaded add-ons from here and RTB.

My guess is that it is a problem with zones. If I hosted a server this weekend, would any of you like to look into the issue if it arises? Again, it doesn't always happen, but I'm hoping and we will see the issue.

If I see your server up I will try to join. Make sure you post here when it goes up.

Alright, the server is currently up. It's passworded, however, so PM me on RTB if you see this.

After a short conversation with CharlesSpeaking, I decided to use the idea of searching through the .bls again, but rather than searching for "velocity," I looked for relays. I found this, and it looks mighty suspicious.

Is it safe to delete the events from the build?

Just realized it's a rogue 1x1. It's not spam, as I clear spam frequently. I have no idea what the color is, either, so if someone could deduce it for me, that would be great.

Those events fling players. It would be safe to delete the events.

Delete those 3 lines (the events), then scroll up to the top and lower linecount by 3.
