If someone warrants a "mute", they warrant a kick. So kick, not mute, and if they are still annoying, ban. Simple as that.

He is right. If you are really so bothered, just ban them. The tools are built into the game, for the love of god, use them.

Mute must be handled carefully otherwise that itself can wreck your server into stuff.

Don't use it against people who are swearing because they're pissed off at something or against trolls. Muting only has a good effectiveness on chat spammers.

Also I don't understand why people have this elevated perception of me. I do not take this game seriously at all and never have. Certain people need to get a sense of humour.
