Author Topic: How to lucid dream without sleep paralysis?  (Read 3094 times)

I want to have a lucid dream but I always have this fear that I'm gonna go into sleep paralysis and I get scared so I end up failing. I have a dream journal but I don't see how that helps.

From what I know, you must be aware that you are dreaming and say to yourself, "I will lucid dream" alot of times before you fall asleep. That may help because you'll be commanding your brain to Lucid dream.

And have you read the Lucid Dreaming thread?

Also if that does not help, read what Blockzillahead did to Lucid Dream.

If all of those fail, google some instructions.
Oh wow lol. I thought that too when I first saw the name.

EDIT: Walk222 on Page 2 of Blockzillahead's lucid dreaming thread explains kinda more specificly.
Did you read that? If that does not help, try looking up instructions on Google unless you did. If that fails, then dont be a coward at Lucid Dreaming. Again, I've heard that another way to Lucid Dream is to be aware that your dreaming.

This is why I live in mortal fear of sleep paralysis.

There are soooo many sources online that are dedicated to lucid dreaming.

Did you even google any of them? They'll probably be of more use than the BLF.

Ugh, don't suggest google. Last time someone suggested google, OP called them a richard.

I hear a lot of people here have had lucid dreams.

While that may be true, I would recommend this forum instead.

I think I remember hearing something about drinking a lot of apple juice before you go to sleep.

thx 4 new avatar

i haven't tried it but i've heard that if you use a marker to draw a dot on your hand or something similar and keep looking at it and reminding yourself that you are in fact awake that it won't be there in the dream and you'll realize it's a dream

idk if that'd really work though, and i'm probably leaving out details but eh
i've had lucid dreams before but only accidentally, and then i don't know what to do in them because i wake up before i decide on what to do

EDIT: there are a bunch of other ways that i can't remember but you can probably find them by just googling "how to lucid dream" or something, sleep paralysis isn't the only way
