How do disable baseplates?

You might be asking yourself, "Why disable baseplates, are you stupid?" Well, I'm not lol, I just want to know how.
I need to do it because i want some specific baseplates (bricks), but I dont want to regular baseplates (i want them disabled) how do i do it!? Please no negative comments, sorry if sound so confusing lol
