Author Topic: I got part of my toenail removed today.  (Read 3624 times)

It got forgeted up and refused to heal so I had no choice, it was paining me too much to keep. It was already partway torn so I did it the favor of manning up and tearing it off.
;~;
Oh, that i can understand. it was more of a harm with it there than without it?

With it there it was slowly being torn off everytime it bumped something, causing a shooting pain as the nail split more and tore up the nerves. And it was just hanging there making it really hard use my hand unless I taped it up, and if I taped it up than it would be pulled by the tape when I bend my finger.
So in the end I was like "y'know, enough of this" I would describe the process of removing it but its very cringing.

Wow, I had to get mine removed, it could have caused an infection, since it was damn far into my skin, even if i tap something with my toe it causes me to cringe or scream in pain depending on how hard i hit the toe

When something with the toe/finger happens it can become a very painful experience. I once broke my toenail and it got infected but I couldn't go to the doctor so I had to fix it.. by myself.

my big toenail was ingrown for a year because of the nail-bed being crushed

i managed pull out the ingrown nail myself, was painful but incredibly satisfying when it was out

A moment of pain for a long time of relief I'd say.
