Author Topic: Itunes/appstore wont accept my credit card information (SOLVED)  (Read 1201 times)

Okay, first of all: yes I have googled for help without success.

So about a month ago I bought an app from appstore. A few days later it tells me that there have been problems with my previous purchase and I had to check all my payment information for mistakes. Everything was correct so I pressed done. It comes up with a red text saying "your payment method was declined. Please enter another payment method". I keep trying to change some of thr info but always come up with the same error. So I changed something in my address (removed the appartment number) and it worked. Last week I bought another app and guess what? The error returns, only this time I can't fix it. And I am 100% sure that the info is correct, because I use the same card everywhere else without any problems. The weird thing is, I can't even download free apps, or those I've already purchased...

have you checked if you have money?

Try downloading a free app without any payment info on it. There should be a option that says None, which will allow you to use no credit card.

Could be it. I do have a bit money, but less than an euro. I'll see if the problem goes away when i get money on my account.

I don't have a "none" option.

I have never had that issue before, and it will almost definitely depend on your bank

also if OP actually does know what he's saying, and did mean a credit card, there isn't even a balance involved (well, not the kind you're thinking of)

A dollar for an app usually isn't enough since tax is charged with everything from iTunes. Have you made sure that your credit card information is up-to-date and completely valid?
