I used to hunt with my dad's .308 hunting rifle

hunting is fun

If I went hunting I would probably end up feeling bad for the animal and then cry myself to sleep in guilt afterwards

why would you feel bad? odds are it would've been mauled and eviscerated by a bear later anyway lol.

I've only killed six buck as of right now. Deer stew tastes amazing.

I've done a lot of bird hunting though. I don't know how many of those I can count.

I shot a deer with a slingshot before.  Lucky hit and wasn't intending to hit it.

I go hunting every year for firearm season in Illinois. I've tagged a few deer thus far, only one buck, though, and it was a little one. We mostly hunt for the meat, a friend who hunts with us gets hot dogs which are amazing. And then my dad will usually get one of our deer turned almost entirely into slim jims, and then if we get more we have some friends who don't hunt who want the deer themselves.

Also just the past weekend (friday and monday) we took some younger kids squirrel/dove hunting, didn't really see anything but it was still fun nonetheless.

I've had some really good deer chili once, didn't taste game-y but not like normal beef chili. And a friend of ours knows possibly one of the best recipes for deer steak that tastes almost as good, if not identical to a decent steak.

Great to hear some decent stories! Im going out hunting today. I hope to get a shot at a deer and maybe even a couple squirrels. I've shot at a few squirrels before, but they have incredibly fast reaction speeds compared to the speed of an arrow. As far as deer go, I've shot 1 doe a few years ago and I shot a small 7 point buck. When I go today, we are in need of some meat in the freezer, so I'll probably shoot any adult deer.

Trapped monkeys, killed boars.

First and last deer ran from me on a hunting trip with my granddad, never got the chance to hunt deer again. Oh well.

does shooting a raccoon in the face with a .22 count, even if said raccoon didn't give a stuff?

Yes it counts. I hit a squirrel once with my 2000 fps pellet gun, right in the head, THREE TIMES. It ran away and then came back 20 minutes later out of range to taunt me.

I hunt the pusillanimous individual

I'm hunting right now Lol. I'm richarding around eatint Pringles right now.
but we are spose to be loving up turkeys

Got back from hunting now. It rained while we were out, so the deer didn't move much. I didn't see anything but a bunch of squirrels. I drew back on one, but it was moving too quickly. There were also 2-3 red squirrels that tried to climb on my arrow... AGAIN. (this happened last time) They are too stupid to realize that even though the giant thing is camouflaged, it can still be dangerous. Im looking into buying a cheap youth .22 for those days when the deer just aren't moving. I think I saw one at a local store. Hopefully I can get there to check it out.
