i dont think people realize how dangerously close the world is to total economic collapse because of this lol.

this is not something that a balanced budget can fix. or that more debt ceiling raising can stall.
things WILL crash. they have been delaying it twice a year since the 70s and have been pretty good at it. but the problem grows exponentially, and we are further from solving it every time.

Canada's played it smart, and not send it's full military to fight wars half way around the globe. It also doesn't give half it's money to countries in bloody civil wars.

Yes, but our debt is over 20x theirs. That's still 2x if you equate for GDP. Canada is doing the right thing by only sending a few troops in. As for the population thing, even though they don't have as many people to provide for, they also don't have as many people to get taxes from.

I say cutback on the defense budget. The military is buying stupid stuff like the Stryker, F-35, MRAPS, and Drones.

Cut the army's budget by 70%.
But that's impossible because all the congress people get bribed by weapon companies, if they vote for wars and a stronger military.
