Author Topic: Empty disk gives me a 'disk not empty' error  (Read 2236 times)

It is clearly empty, yet it appears to have something taking up space, so i can't burn stuff to it.

Does fragmentation exist on disks like hard drives?

I'd give that a try. it's not like it can hurt anything

Is your window title color really very dark grey on black...? I had to tilt my monitor to read that stuff.

I can't make the window titles white. I just ignore the titles.

I formatted. Twice. It's still appearing to take up invisible space.

actually, it's taking up 0.01 more gb than last time. splendid.

did you like just buy this disc or what
if so who's the maker

maxell

im not sure if this changes anything but earlier i told it to make the disc act like a flash drive

the only reason im using a damn dvd in the first place is because i couldnt find a flash drive. i wanted to be able to edit files as if it was a dvd-rw rather than dvd-r.

you can buy a flash drive for next to nothing now a days ..

Some DVD's come forgeted up like this. It's just a faulty one more than likely

Is it a DVD-R or a DVD-RW?
If it's a R, as soon as you do /anything/ on it regarding it's data, you are forgeted. Especially if it actually takes space right now.

It was late at night. I'm big on procrastination.

It does that when you format the disk
