Alarms start going off inside the Artanis VI as it's pilots and crew members brace for possible combat, the ship lights up and the primary cannon glows to life, everything about the ship standing out, the turrets begin tracking individual targets and then all of a sudden, there is a loud
DOOMF. Each of the smaller ships shakes a little, but there are no damage reports and there appears to be no electronic mal-play at hand... Perhaps the large red ship broke down? Maybe there was an internal explosion..?
inside the control room of the Artanis VI...
Voice 1: Sir, the ion cannon misfiring did in fact create a sonic boom, you were correct. Our engineers are currently measuring the sound wavelengths to determine all obstacles around us within half a light-year, and thus far they've managed to find all visible ships, as well as hazardously large meteoroids.
Voice 2: Excellent. Computer, visualize battlegrounds, display all units and obstacles as engineering locates the objects, estimate trajectory in comparison to the ship, speed and threat order, rank the cloaked ship as 1st priority hostile.
Electronic Voice: Right away sir.

Voice 2: Computer, identify orange entity
Electronic Voice: Unknown object sir, engineering still attempting to identify object, estimated time until calculations complete, two minutes. Shall I contact command and request fleet assistance?
Voice 2: That won't be necessary Computer, these forces can be easily handled so long as we have our wits about us. Prime all rotary cannons, keep all munitions on standby, keep the ion cannon charged, if the stuff hits the fan, reposition the ship to hit as many of them as possible with the ion cannon. I want all rotary turrets tracking that cloaked ship's location.
Electronic Voice: Yes sir.
