You should get him a .22 air rifle.  Teach him to shoot squirrels and stuff.

i want a gun that feels very real. the weight or metal or whatever.
im gonna get him off of that toy feeling before he can get a real rifle x.x

uh
doesn't anyone think this is a bit insane

I'd recommend something simple to understand but realistic so he develops respect for real guns.

Crosman Phantom 1000 or GAMO USA Shadow Sport

the GAMO might be a little much for him but it's higher quality

its kind of ok that a gun is to heavy or to long. thats kinda the point lol.
hes not supposed to be rambo'ing it around like a kid XD

Stock, grib, and pump are made out synthetic materials giving that plastic feeling, everything else is metal

I had a pellet rifle that looked like that, just brown stock and black barrel.

that would be the 2100 which has a rifled barreled instead of a smoothbore.

why does that sound so badass

co2 is fine, he's just going to have to need to buy co2 cartridges every now and then
gamo is also a good company iirc; haven't really shot pellet guns in a while but i used to routinely as a kid and from what i remember we never had any problems with their stuff

A rifled barrel is basically a rifle that has been rifled into to give it spiral grooves which causes the projectile to spin. Making your shots more accurate and allowing them to penetrate better. Rifled barrels fire pellets better, smoothbore is better for bb's.
