Food, clothes, housing, and I don't know... an education so they can get out of the stuffty life they live.  It is very easy to aquire a grant, fee waiver, or financial aid for education.

Whoa whoa whoa, he was an English substitute teacher. Or maybe it was a student teacher or something, he was also like in his mid 20's. It's even more pathetic than just an English teacher. Also if I remember correctly he said some weird stuff about the made up students he had.
