Author Topic: Experience with rude customers?  (Read 1777 times)

Hey guys, does anyone have any stories about rude customers while working?
For example in restaurants or retail. Customers can get rather aggressive, to a point where they will start throwing with merchandise, even.
I'm a waiter and I've had my fair share of angry customers. Has anyone else ever have a run-in with a rude customer?

Share your stories.

edit:
oh god that typo in the title

I already pointed out the typo, get out of here.
That's not fair.

A black girl came into the store and threw her slushie at my coworker because it was supposedly the wrong flavor.

There was a fight and cops were involved, and my coworker had to go to mandatory anger management or get fired. ):

Obviously it was your coworker who did something wrong.. >_>
I guess the manager or something didn't see what happened and didn't care about the explanation of him/her.

I get some rude customers, not rude as in throwing stuff, just sometimes they tend to be a bit annoying.
One time someone came to me, asking if a certain product was still in stock.
I checked and said: "No sorry miss."
Then a couple minutes later my superior comes to me with the same question (kinda funny how they ask me).
She really didn't trust me. :/

There was that time we got held at gunpoint by someone who came into the scrap yard. That was pretty rude.

When I used to work at a restaurant a feminist group came to the restaurant and one of them was like super hot with massive titties. I went up to them to ask if they wanted boxes and they were talking and one of them looked up to me and I was about to ask and the hot one was like "NO, just ignore him we were having a conversation." So I just took their plates and threw their food in the trash and they didn't complain or anything so over-all it went okay.

The reason I brought up her giant titties is because they were like obviously fake she was like 90 lbs. and they were like triple F size monsters so I think she got them solely so she could force men to have to look at them and then call them pigs or something when they do.

I work at an appliance store in the customer pick up department, as in a customer buys something, pulls around the back of the building, picks the stuff up after we wrap it up, etc.
Well one day this guy came back with a fridge. There was like a scratch the size of a papercut on the front and he went apestuff at ME. So me, being the respectable young lad I was, just walked back inside and got a manager. Manager comes out, guy goes off on him, blah blah, so this persists and the guy is like loving pissed. He RIPS the handle off the fridge and attempts to hit my manager with it. So we just defend ourselves and the guy ends up driving off  with his tailgate down on his truck, and the fridge falls off the truck and is destroyed. Police caught him later, got charged with assault. Me and my manager had to testify, but it's all good now

This topic made me think of this.

It's loving crazy how much blood is on the window from her smashing it with her gorilla hands.

I work in the produce department of a grocery store.
Any department has issues with stock that oa eout of the store's control; foor example sometimes the store orders something but the warehouse doesn't have any to give us, so we're out for a few days.
But produce especially deals with this because farms are affected by weather conditions and such.
So people yell at us when we're out of stuff.

And this one time, it was late at night, like 8pm, I was by myself in the department. Some woman calls and wants to know something related to how we order stuff, which I couldn't answer because I have exactly 0 involvement with ordering , and there was no one else on I could ask. That made her really mad.

I work in backroom at a Target in Canada.

Hence, why I work in the backroom. I avoid people. People are awful.
