Author Topic: Arcade Control Panel  (Read 799 times)

I've been wanting to build a 2 player arcade controller I can plug into my computer. I think it would be pretty sweet to have the controller and play some arcade games with friends over. Maybe even add some light guns to it and be able to play Time CrCIA. Anyone here have any experience with this type of stuff?

My dad bought a prebuilt X-Arcade board, but they sell individual parts.

I must warn you, though, a lot of their stuff can be expensive.

While looking around at various Arcade gamepads I saw something else I want to build. I really want to get a raspberry pi and build a classic console emulator out of it.

Raspberry Pi, in my opinion, would be perfect for that. All you really need is to find software to emulate arcade games, unless you want to program that, too.

Yeah it's exactly what I was planning on doing. There are a few builds for the Raspberry Pi that are made specifically for emulators. I'm thinking of building it and getting a usb NES or SNES controller for it and giving it to my cousin for Christmas.
