Quote from: Article
"Motorola has unveiled Project Ara, an open-source initiative for modular smartphones with the goal to "do for hardware what the Android platform has done for software." The company plans to create an ecosystem that can support third-party hardware development for individual phone components — in other words, you could upgrade your phone's processor, display, and more by shopping at different vendors."

If you don't know what phonebloks is, look at this video.

Now discuss.

what if you loose one of the pieces?

what if you loose one of the pieces?
Then you buy a new one?
Instead of a whole new phone if you lose your phone

what if you loose one of the pieces?
why would you remove them randomly anyway?

why would you remove them randomly anyway?
like if one just fell out, or if you drop it

like if one just fell out, or if you drop it
how could one fall off, I doubt this phone would be held together by duct tape

how could one fall off, I doubt this phone would be held together by duct tape
im sure if you dropped it some pieces would fall out.

im sure if you dropped it some pieces would fall out.
put them back together? buy new ones if they break? I dont see whats so hard about this question

faith in humanity rekindled

im sure if you dropped it some pieces would fall out.
Ghoststar, Stop over thinking this.
If you lose a block just buy a new block to go on it instead of replacing the whole phone.
If your screen shatters just buy a new screen block to go on your phone.
If your battery runs out too fast just get a bigger battery block.

im sure if you dropped it some pieces would fall out.
There will obviously be a plastic case over the exposed blocks.

Damn it all, I was just about to post about this.

Anyhoo, I'm glad this is actually going somewhere. Probably the only touchscreen phone I'd ever buy.

Lol i thought phone bloks died
