Author Topic: So I just went to my first real -party-  (Read 1778 times)

My friend had invited me over to a party he was hosting. So I get there and like, everyone's drinkin and smokin pot. I've seen most of the people but don't really know them. It's also weird to see people you've never thought smoking/drinking to do so. I didn't touch any of it but, like, wowe.

you haven't lived till you inhale sum that helium

I wanna go to a party and smoke and drink but then I remember I'm like, socially awkward and I'd find a way to make a situation like that become more weird than it could be

I was just kinda... around most of the time, didn't really talk to a lot of people. A couple people knew me as the "loving amazing artist" and introduced me as so to like, everyone.

How many people were there at an estimate?

It fluctuated but the max was probably 20. Average 15.

Unless you got a friend who knows how to keep talking, has no idea what being socially awkward is, and an uncanny ability to keep people interested enough in each other to be more than just that guy you said hello to, it's kinda hard to enjoy a party.

Them ice breaker buddies are important otherwise it'd just end up with people sticking with their ring of friends and shutting out whoever isn't within that ring.

Oh okay, well that's not too bad. I thought you were talking like, 40 people

I went to a party. I sat in a corner babysitting some drunk girl till I had to drive home because I was the designated driver and I don't drink. And I got hearing damage.
Weird plot twist ending when me and some indian dude went looking around the fraternity for another girl that came with us and he's drunk just going into every room saying "Alright, we're looking for ____. I'm not trying to rooster block anyone or anything but we gotta leave. Does anyone know where she's at??"
We found her later getting her coat and somehow like missed here 4-5 times.

My takeaway, parties suck :P
Hope yours was fun though besides not doing anything at it :x

Well everyone was pretty chill. The people who did "know" me were blazed/drunk to forget, and just kinda palled around with me. I had these black/red contacts in and a lot of people thought I was high to all hell. No I was pretty much the only sober person ( maybe like 1 or 2 other people ). I just kinda followed my friend around most of the time.

okay man but remember that the party is only real when you're still with it

take everything in moderation and dont be doin any of the stuff you shouldnt be doing/any of the stuff youd be doing too much like alcohol or ecstacy. those 2 things pop up at parties more often than you think

i dunno if you're old enough to be doin stuff like that but better safe than sorry
