Author Topic: I'm getting sick. Any tips for turning this around?  (Read 4391 times)

i usually take antibiotics when i first notice a cold or illness coming on.
That's the most handicapped idea I've ever heard. Thanks for doing your part to help antibiotic resistant bacteria proliferate!

Good point, I forgot about that because I am dumb…

Viruses are just bad proteins, right?
They're non living wipper snappers that infect cells and cause them to create copies of themselves, because antibiotics can only kill living orgabisms (hence the name), they dont do anything when you have a virus besides make bacteria in you more resiliant

"An infective agent that typically consists of a nucleic acid molecule in a protein coat, is too small to be seen by light microscopy, and is able to multiply only within the living cells of a host." So yes.
ugh

do you even know what a protein coat is you handicap
"A capsid is the protein shell of a virus. It consists of several oligomeric structural subunits made of protein called protomers. The observable 3-dimensional morphological subunits, which may or may not correspond to individual proteins, are called capsomeres. The capsid encloses the genetic material of the virus."
the coat is made of a protein. but it is not actually a protein, the virus, i mean. the virus isn't a protein. the virus is a virus. you're so stupid it hurts.
Dude, that's the definition of a virus. You seem to be posting a lot too. And yes, I know.

Saw that ninja.  Can you please stick to the topic or get out.

Drink a bunch of water
I drank maybe 3 glasses when I got home a few hours ago.

Update:  I am feeling a tad better, but this feeling won't last much longer.

look all I can really ask is - do you actually KNOW you're getting sick? like, can you verify that? i know you said your throat is sore and you have a fever coming on but sometimes throat soreness can just be attributed to normal things - my throat is sore quite a lot and i'm not sick - and how can you feel a fever coming on? are you just tired? sometimes i'll feel like i have a fever but it never actually becomes one.
and in any case there's not really a way to turn it around - if it's coming, it's coming, and you're really kinda stuck with it

uh bu- b- e eh u- buu- high scho- eh biolo- whatever what the forget
true

I am increasingly getting the chills.
I have had a headache all day.
Sore throat.
Lots of mucus.
And that feeling of dense hotness behind the eyes.

I can tell when I'm getting a fever.

Also dizziness just hit me.

By the way just to tell you this, once you feel a cold coming, there's no way to stop it. It will happen no matter what you do. Just let it happen, it's for your own good anyway. Stronger immune system.
