fake bans can confuse noobs as to what the rules are.

but a fake ban should have the little italic "edited by badspot <date>" as well to look real

It's probably safer not to attempt it.
People should only use it as a joke, but even then, there are safer jokes to make.

Best rule of thumb is that if you're unsure if it's bannable then don't attempt it.

Pretty certain it isn't. If you look below somebody quoted him and their isn't an actual edit from Quote Story on the post.

Also fake ban posts are stupid and you deserve a ban for doing them.
