Author Topic: Stuff you used to think as a kid v9000  (Read 8096 times)

I once thought that video games were just billions of pictures, like, screenshots I guess you could say, and when the game crashed it was because the devs forgot to put a picture somewhere.

I used to think that what was happening in a game, somewhere, what I was doing was happening in real life.
(The only things I played very much back then were BF2, Midtown Madness 2, and Rollercoaster Tycoon, so it was at least kind-of reasonable.)
Quick fact: the people you kill in AC were actually killed the same date they were killed in real life

i thought game developers made the bottom half of a disc and then they just like flattened the entire game so it could fit in the disc

i also thought they hand-painted all of the designs on them

I used to think that I never slept. It was like my own superpower.

I used to think that I never slept. It was like my own superpower.
I recently had a dream that I was in a Magnetic car (Like mario kart 8) And i was racing at breakneck speeds and the track looked like a floating greek empire and there were loops
It was a good dream

i once thought that mars would chase me as i walked and/or had my parents drive me around

I, for a very long time and still to this day, vividly remember waking up at the opposite end of the house from my dad (he was the only one home) and having the guitar ask me how I was doing.

I used to think that, if in the future (back then of course), that if we had (which of course we do now) motion-controlled games, that it would be cool.

BOY WAS I WRONG.

And now for an actual one:

I used to think that there were cheat codes in real life, but no one knew about them yet.

I've just noticed that all of mine so far are game related ones. Weird.
Well now for one that's non-game related:

I once thought that dreams were real, but just in a different universe.

it is

edit: oops thought you said county. africa is a county.
its a loving continent are you high

I thought that cars were robots

I used to think at night the core rises up slowly to the surface so I would always be scared at night.

I used to think Windows Vista was the only OS in life.

I used to think there was no "space" and you could never leave the planet.

When I didn't know about love, but knew about being pregnant, I thought you got pregnant simply by being kissed

i thought everyone was robots and  that i was a robot

I thought whatever word I said must be a real word.
So "abserturabeena" was a word and it meant "Hello there!"

I also thought that if you left to go to space, aliens were bound to meet you.

Oh, I also thought non-living-objects like cars all had minds and feelings. There's autism for ya!

People who are posting please don't also use the no-punctuation grammar that you used as a kid too Its loving irritating to read these posts if there are no punctuation marks in them to signal where a sentence ends and one begins

The punctuation is missing from the sentence above as an example.

I used to think that to get a girlfriend you need to know everything about her and her family...
