New Track, and an Album

As some of you may know, I make music. My latest piece was submitted to DrumNBass.net, but unfortunately did not make the cut. So I'm trying again. However, if I'm just going to recieve awful feedback from it, I'll won't bother. Which is why I'm posting it here before I submit it. And yes, I do still have a bit of mastering to do before it's ready, but try to ignore that.

Thanks!

Side note: Any of you DnB geeks might like to know that this is somewhat styled after Emperor's music.

FINISHED! My greatest work of all time!  :cookieMonster:

Tension

Submitted to DrumNBass.net as well, let's hope they come back positive... *bites nails*

Thinking about buying some kind of synth, could maybe make around £250 in the next couple days so that's really my price range, was looking a bit into KORG LittleBits Synth Kit to play around with that working with my midi guitar, got a lot of possibilities with them together, any ideas? also i have seen previous posts on the last page, i'm looking for something more modular for actually creating synths physically

I thought you already had a keyboard or something, what was that? :o

Also, what do you mean creating synths physically? The microbrute, microkorg, mininova, and bass station II all have synthesis engines that allow you to make your own sounds all the way from the waveform to the patching, you don't just play presets.

If you just want more knobs to twiddle with then maybe you'd be interested in something like a Korg MS20 mini:

$600 USD the Korg MS20 mini is a recreation of the older, larger, Korg MS20 which was widely used then and even now. It allows you to get a bunch of cool sounds and stuff just like the old one, yadda yadda yadda, great synth, everybody loves it, etc. End sales pitch.
Just like the Microbrute (or any other non-digitally based brown townog* synthesizers), you can't save the patches that you've made to a preset library (Such as on the microkorg, mininova, bass station II, so forth). It's 100% brown townog.

If you're looking at eurorack modular type stuff then you better open up a savings account. A small beginners lunchbox case alone will cost you $160 USD http://erthenvar.com/store/lunchbox
Then you'd need to buy an oscillator(s), filter modules, etc. etc.
A cheap* module system would cost you well over $1200 USD

btw, you're really not gonna want to use the littlebits Korg kit if you want a *serious* synthesizer, those are just fun little modular toys that you'll have a hard time trying to get much out of in the area of synthesis.

I've looked heavily in to the MS20 mini but it really seems a bit too far out my price range, I have a midi keyboard but i'm looking for something different, this was really just a cheap fill-in to start out with and i'm selling that as well as a few other bits and bobs to save up a bit of money. Definitely something brown townogue is what i'm looking for and the ms20 mini is something i'm going to work towards maybe next year, starting a college here in the uk for electronic music later this year and a lot of my savings are being spent towards moving house near the location of the college so i'm going to say £300 is really my absolute limit with what i can spend on something until next year so i'd like something until then to experiment with and also learn more about different oscillators/waves and such

edit: £300 is about $500

just a bit of 16-bit stuff, first acceptable excuse for a song, probably won't be finished since I didn't plan it out fully

Download

I inadvertently (found out 30 mins after I finished it) tracked and mixed part of a song from a band I hadn't listened to in months. What I did was fun and sounds cool but FML that it isn't original at all.

What I ended up copying essentially:

Does anyone know what pad/soundscape/whatever sample this is?
http://music.basickrecords.com/track/limbo

I love the ambience in it and I hear similar tones in a lot of music I listen to but I can't seem to find it. If anyone could provide links to free or even paid services (yes I love that sound so much I'd pay for it), that would be amazing. Thanks for help in advance.
